This Cookie Policy explains how BDStudents (the "Service") uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve them, and to provide information to the site's operators. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, perform comparable functions. In this Policy, we refer to all of them as "cookies."

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the Service to function, including signing you in, keeping you logged in, and protecting security. These are set by our own authentication system and our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare). The Service cannot work properly without them, so they do not require consent.

Analytics cookies. Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We use PostHog for product analytics. These are non-essential and are used based on your consent where required.

Error and performance monitoring. We use Sentry to detect and diagnose technical problems, which may set or read limited technical identifiers to associate errors with sessions.

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

3. Managing Your Choices

Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie controls provided on the Service.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service, such as signing in, from working.

4. Cookies Set by Third Parties

Some cookies are set by the third-party providers we use to operate the Service, such as Cloudflare, PostHog, and Sentry. These providers process data in line with their own policies and our agreements with them. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of providers and how data is shared.

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. The "Last updated" date shows when this Policy was last revised.
