Founded in 1915

National Central University (; abbreviated NCU; ) is a public research university in Zhongli, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It was founded in 1915 in Nanking in the Republic of China and existed there until the overthrow of the republic in 1949. It was then re-established in Taiwan in Zhongli in 1968 and developed into a comprehensive university, gaining its current name in 1979.
