1. 🧾 Check if you need a visa

Most international students (including Bangladesh) need a UK Student Visa

Exempt only if you have:

Irish citizenship

EU/EEA settled/pre-settled status

2. 📩 Get your CAS (key document)

University issues CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies)

Needed to apply for visa

Includes: course details, fees, start/end dates

3. 🧳 Apply from your home country

You must apply before travelling to the UK

Cannot enter as visitor and switch visa inside UK

4. 💰 Financial requirement

Must show living + tuition funds

Approx living cost requirement:

~£1,171/month (up to 9 months)

5. 🏥 Health & screening

Pay Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) to use NHS

Some students need TB test (Bangladesh included) if required

6. 🧪 Extra requirement (some courses)

ATAS certificate required for certain science/engineering/medicine courses

7. ⏱ Processing time

Standard visa decision: ~15 working days

Faster options: Priority / Super Priority (extra fee)
