On Saturday, February 14, 2026, the Bangladeshi Student Association (BSA) at the University of Arizona hosted a vibrant 1st Falgun Celebration at Silverbell Lake Park – Ramada 6 (Danny Lopez Park), Tucson, Arizona.
More than 50+ community members joined the event, making it a lively and memorable outdoor gathering.

The event was designed as a relaxed community gathering that combined traditional food, games, and cultural celebration.
🍚 Potluck Lunch Highlights
The potluck-style lunch featured a wide variety of Vorta, along with Vaat (rice), Daal, snacks, and several homemade dishes.
The food received overwhelmingly positive feedback. The variety of vorta and desserts quickly became crowd favorites and truly reflected the richness of Bangladeshi cuisine.
The shared meal created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
🧭 Treasure Hunt Activity
One of the most engaging parts of the event was the Treasure Hunt activity.
Participants were divided into teams and given clues to solve around the park. The activity encouraged teamwork, interaction, and friendly competition. It turned out to be the most enjoyed segment of the day.
🌼 Community Engagement
The event brought together students, families, and professionals in a colorful outdoor setting by the lake.
